Virtual Reality

COMPLETE IMMERSION

Applications that encapsulate the user in an environment thats completely separate from perceived reality. Virtual reality software can be made natively for the headsets on the market, or through the web. Ideally you would want to develop for the headset with the most market share in the consumer market, unless you only work with enterprise. The headsets with the most consumer marketshare are Meta Quest 2, Valve Index, Meta Rift S and Rift, HTC Vive, and Pico Neo 3.
There are two consumer VR markets. PC and Standalone. Standalone being the most wide reaching. Meta currently has about 90% marketshare in the standalone VR market. But that can change over the next few years as Byte Dance(parent company of Tik Tok) enters the market with Pico Neo 3 in Europe, with plans to come to the U.S within the next two years. Our team can develop for any headset, but we would reccomend to target the Meta Quest 2 or Pico Neo 3. Ideally both.

Augmented Reality

LIMITLESS APPLICABILITY

Project media onto your mobile device’s camera feed, giving the feeling of your environment providing utility or entertainment. Augmented Reality experiences can be published natively to respective headsets or Android and iOS. There are over 1 billion AR capable devices in the world being used by consumers. This is possible because of ARkit by Apple and ARCore by Android. Every major social media platform not only has AR functionality, but also allows you to publish your own Augmented Reality apps to their network. Every major tech company(Google , Apple, Meta, Microsoft, Snapchat, TikTok) will have their own version of a Visual Positioning System that will allow mobile devices to figure out their position inside of a city or building with their camera feed. One step beyond traditional GPS methods. Our team is more than capable of working with any future VPS that may come out as well as any AR headsets. The most popular AR headsets in the consumer market would be Nreal , Rokid Air, Jio Glass, and Spectacles(Snapchat). The enterprise headets would be Hololens, Magic Leap, Vive Focus 3, Varjo XR3, and Pimax.

Mixed Reality

THE FUTURE OF EXTENDED REALITY

Software that can seamlessly mix the functionality of Augmented and Virtual Reality. This will be the future of headsets and mobile software. Microsoft, Meta, and Apple already have products on the market that are capable of blending AR and VR. Apple’s upcoming headset to be announced in early 2023 will focus on mixed reality. Meta Quest 2 has a passthrough mode for MR. Hololens was made with MR in mind first. Other 3rd party headsets like the Lynx R1 or Varjo XR3 are also suitable for Mixed reality. ARkit/ARCore for iOS and Android are already adept towards MR. Most software focuses either on AR or VR, but the best software will be able to do both and be multiplatform.
